You Can Help

You can help by donating your time and talent. We are a country that prospers from immigrant contributions. Our lives are richer for the diversity we share. It is up to us all to value and honor one another as human beings.

Immigrants and Their Families Need Support

Immigrants and their families need support as they face the uncertainty ahead.

Many immigrants who have lived peacefully in the U.S. for decades are being deported each day—parents are detained as they drop their children off at school. Workers are being picked up on the job. Mothers shopping with their children are taken away. And yet, undocumented immigration is a civil offense, not a criminal violation. The Immigrant Legal Center is the last resort for legal assistance for many low-income families who came to the U.S. to escape desperate poverty, extreme violence, and state-sponsored bloodshed.

How can I help?

Make friends with an immigrant. Share information and activities from your cultures. You can volunteer your time and talent in numerous forms such as interpreting and translating, assisting with events and fundraisers, and more.

ILC’s Attorney of the Day program ensures that every child before the Omaha Immigration Court has the opportunity for consultation, orientation, and representation.
