Immigrant Legal Center collaborates with the Nebraska Immigration Legal Assistance Hotline to better serve you in regards to your case. NILAH’s intake process allows ILC attorneys to provide you with a high-quality legal consultation in a timely manner. The hotline will help you determine if you are eligible for a consultation. There is a waiting list, and your appointment may be scheduled a month or more after your initial call.
|Monday & Wednesday:||9:00am – 11:00am and 12:30 – 3:30pm|
|Tuesday & Thursday:||9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:30 – 3:30pm|
|Friday:||9:00am – 12:00pm|
Detained foreign nationals facing deportation can apply for free legal representation through the Pro Bono Detainee Project. ILC staff reviews the person’s eligibility for immigration bond and/or deportation defenses. If eligible, ILC contacts volunteer private attorneys who are willing to work with client cases pro-bono through this program. If you are seeking legal immigration services for someone who is currently detained and would like to apply to the Pro Bono Detainee Project, you may download the intake form in English or Spanish.
If your legal needs are urgent and not related to a detained foreign national, you may download this
Attorney Referral List of private immigration attorneys who charge fees.
After the NILAH intake is complete, you may be scheduled for a consultation at our monthly clinics with one of our partner organizations.
