As the Access Specialist, Hera is responsible for handling the Nebraska Immigration Legal Assistance Hotline (NILAH).
NILAH is a high-volume centralized immigration hotline where individuals can apply for non-profit immigration legal assistance from ILC and collaborating non-profit immigration legal service providers (ILSPs).
Hera screens participants through intake calls to determine eligibility for services and forms of immigration relief. She maintains communication with clients and ILC legal team, assists in compiling data for reports, and contributes to awareness and education efforts.
Hera graduated from Kabul University with a Bachelor of Communication and Journalism. She is fluent in Dari, Pashto, and Urdo.
When not working, you can find Hera watching movies, reading books, spending time with family and friends, painting, doing photography, and traveling.
