Make a Referral

Immigrant Legal Center’s attorneys play a key role in our communities’ immigration response. ILC accepts our colleagues’ most complex case referrals, including removal and complicated asylum applications.

ILC attorneys care about vulnerable immigrants and are committed to providing the highest quality immigration legal services to our clients. Our overall casework success rate is 93%.

Referrals

The most efficient way to begin the referral process is to have the individual contact the Nebraska Immigration Legal Assistance Hotline.  NILAH is a collaboration developed by several immigrant-serving nonprofits to gather intake information and refer immigrants to area attorneys. Callers may ask for a referral to ILC.

You can help

You can help by donating your time and talent. We are a country that prospers from immigrant contributions.

Our lives are richer for the diversity we share. It is up to us all to value and honor one another as human beings.

The Immigrant Legal Center is the last resort for legal assistance for many low-income families who came to the U.S. to escape desperate poverty, extreme violence, and state-sponsored bloodshed.

How can i help?

Make friends with an immigrant. Share information and activities from your cultures. You can volunteer your time and talent in numerous forms such as interpreting and translating, assisting with events and fundraisers, and more.

ILC’s Attorney of the Day program ensures that every child before the Omaha Immigration Court has the opportunity for consultation, orientation, and representation.

Internships are available on a semester schedule. Contact ILC to inquire about future law student internships at get-involved@immigrantlc.org

If you are interested in volunteering, complete the volunteer form here.

Immigrants and their families need support

Immigration is a civil violation and yet, many immigrants who have lived peacefully in the U.S. for decades are being deported. Each day-parents are detained as they drop their children off at school. Workers are being picked up on the job. Mothers shopping with their children are taken away.

Immigrants and their families need support as they face the uncertainty ahead.
