Fotima Alizoda

Lead Attorney

As an ILC lead attorney, Fotima provides direct immigration legal services to clients who may qualify for a form of immigration relief. Fotima leads the Afghan Legal Services Project and oversees a team specializing in case types appropriate for high-volume representation in a legal clinic setting, with a particular focus on building out ILC+REC’s service delivery for refugee populations and others who qualify for ORR benefits.

She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Fotima earned her J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Iowa.
