Afghan parolees who have not yet applied for asylum or lawful permanent resident status are encouraged to apply for Re-Parole with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as soon as possible.
Re-Parole provides an extension of temporary permission to remain in the U.S. and work authorization, and there is no filing fee.
Afghan parolees who already have an immigration attorney should speak to their attorney about whether Re-Parole is a good option for them.
Afghan parolees who do not have an immigration attorney may contact Immigrant Legal Center + Refugee Empowerment Center for help.
We have Dari and Pashto speakers available to assist in screening for Re-Parole eligibility.
ILC + REC will connect qualifying callers with free legal representation in a Re-Parole application.
For asisstance please call Pashto: (402)884-1626 or Dari: (402)315-1562
