Legal Assistance for Afghan Reparole

Legal Assistance for Afghan Re-Parole Requests

Afghan parolees who have not yet applied for asylum or lawful permanent resident status are encouraged to apply for Re-Parole with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as soon as possible.

  • Re-Parole provides an extension of temporary permission to remain in the U.S. and work authorization, and there is no filing fee.
  • Afghan parolees who already have an immigration attorney should speak to their attorney about whether Re-Parole is a good option for them.
  • Afghan parolees who do not have an immigration attorney may contact Immigrant Legal Center + Refugee Empowerment Center for help.
  • We have Dari and Pashto speakers available to assist in screening for Re-Parole eligibility.
  • ILC + REC will connect qualifying callers with free legal representation in a Re-Parole application.
